We named it the Healing Arts Center because every practitioner on the team has a wide repertoire of integrative techniques and treatments to draw upon. We believe the art of healing is in the creative application of techniques and the mix should always be fresh, responding to the demands of the moment. Exercise is a crucial part of maintaining health, especially for those suffering from Arthritis or joint pain. While staying active can be challenging, a low-risk exercise like Tai Chi can actually reduce symptoms of stiffness or pain.
Our specially formed classes for arthritis and joint health focus on increasing flexibility and strengthening muscles in order to manage or alleviate pain.

What is Tai Chi? Tai chi is an ancient Chinese tradition consisting of slow, gentle and meditative movements. Accompanied by deep breathing and mental concentration, Tai Chi is a great way to relieve stress and gain focus for those who have a hard time sitting and meditating.

How does Tai Chi help with Arthritis? Balance? Etc? Tai Chi is a great low-impact way to stay active. It will help you to improve strength, flexibility and balance.

How often do I need to come? Anytime you’d like! Our classes are on-going and can be attended at any frequency that feels best to you.

Do I need to be physically fit? Tai Chi is a safe exercise that puts minimal stress on joints and muscles. We welcome all levels of skill, experience and fitness levels.

Can I just watch? Yes, if you want to watch a class before trying it, please call us to make arrangements. We'd be happy to have you.

What should I wear to class? We recommend you wear loose, comfortable clothing and either sneakers or Tai Chi shoes.
